Tuesday 12th January - walk ***** - Landguard Circuit, Felixstowe – sunny
periods.
It did not look very promising today after a wet and breezy night with the
cloud continuing during the morning. Mag goes to Lidl for our weekly shop
while I stay home to do my exercises. When she gets home, she realises she
has lost her mask she has just made so after lunch we head back to Lidl and
find the mast in the car park before carrying on to The Manor to do our
Landguard circuit. At last people seem to be taking notice of the latest
lock down by not driving out of their area as the car parks are very quiet
making it a very pleasant walk, in fact we had Landguard beach nearly to
ourselves:) We actually took the path/cycle track this time although no
birds about there were lots of rabbits making the most of the sunshine!
Reaching the view point car park, again very quiet as we continued back
along the River Orwell as the roll on roll off ferry berthed. We could not
believe our luck when we reached the beach with the breeze offshore and
light the sea was very calm with not a soul in sight just perfect. We
walked along the beach back to The Manor but spotted no seals today. A
fantastic afternoon walk, we are so lucky to have several really lovely
spots close to home:)
